Welcome to the Bioshock kink meme.
You can find a semi-frequently-updated list of prompts, with links and an indication of whether they've been filled, here at the index.

it is a kink meme. people anonymously (or not) request fic and pictures; other people anonymously (or not) write that fic and draw those pictures. everyone masturbates, peace is achieved.

there are two ways to take part!
1) start a new comment thread with a pairing/ship, and a kink. there's a kink masterlist here if you find yourself strapped for ideas.
2) swoop into an existing comment thread, and fill the person's request with art or writing. if someone's already filled the request, go for it anyway -- the more the merrier! if you need somewhere to upload/host images, try imgur.

there are some beautiful gems on the old kink memes. if you want an example of how this whole thing works, or you're digging for gold, look no further: on Livejournal, on Dreamwidth.

Getting Some Radiohead
(Anonymous) 2014-03-27 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)"Atlas?"
His eyebrows raised slightly, Atlas picked up his own radio to reply. Actually getting a transmission from his man from the surface was a surprise. Atlas honestly thought he didn't know how to work the radio, but apparently Jack just didn't have a lot to say.
"I'm here. Something the matter?"
It seemed he still didn't, or it at least took an effort to think of it.
"I need uh... Help... With something."
"Aye? What with, boyo?"
He was answered, at first, by a long silence, until:
"I'm... Stuck."
Atlas waited for Jack to explain, but silence stretched out again and he had a feeling that was all he was getting without further prompting. Very well,
"Could you give me a little more to work with, lad? Is your way blocked? Are you low on supplies?"
"Uh... No, no, I'm uh. I've got... part of myself stuck in the radio."
It was Atlas' turn to answer with silence.
"You what?"
"I'm stuck in the radio."
Stuck in the... Atlas shook his head, but all right. Could be worse, after all.
"All right, what's stuck in the radio?"
It seemed like a simple enough question, but it was one Jack seemed to be reluctant to answer as well.
"Jack-?"
"My hand." said quickly.
"Yer hand? Your whole hand or just a finger?"
"Just a finger." Hardly a second later, Jack added hurriedly: "Wait no, two fingers."
Atlas made a bemused sort of face before he answered.
"How'd you go and do that?"
Now, of all the questions he'd asked the boy so far, he figured that one would be the easiest. It had a clear, concrete answer, after all, Jack only had to describe the concrete effect he had caused. Despite that, all he could hear was Jack breathing on the other end. He sounded... strained, a little. Almost out of breath.
"I was. Trying to hear you better."
His words were very stilted, stiff, and the first thing it reminded Atlas of was someone lying. Badly.
But that didn't seem likely. What would the kid have to lie about? Maybe the reason he was tinkering with the radio embarrassed him? Well - Atlas didn't plan on pressing that, then, because it clearly wasn't a problem anymore:
"Well, I'm hearing you loud and clear now."
"Yeah - I'm. Me too."
Another pause in their conversation settled between them, before Jack cleared his throat.
"Um. How-how do I get out?"
"Well - how are you stuck? Let's start with that."
"Um...."
Atlas waited patiently. Evidently, the kid needed time here.
"Well I - I was able to get in there but now I can't... pull out. Pull it out." Beat. "My hand."
"Right boyo, I heard you the first time."
"Okay good. How do I get out?"
"Easy lad, give me a chance here," Atlas said with a friendly laugh, "are you caught on something?"
This gap in their conversation wasn't completely silent, at least: Jack made a noise that sounded like a choke and a cough.
"I - I mmmight be, I'm not sure."
"Not sure," Atlas repeated, either musing, or letting Jack know what that sounded like.
"Can you - wiggle your fingers around and see?"
"Uhhhhh," Jack drew out, but then the sound of slightly loose metal clinking around came through the radio instead. That, and, for some reason, the rustling of cloth, though it sounded stiffer than the material of Jack's sweater. Probably the bag he was carrying his supplies in.
Jack grunted as he worked, and once or twice a noise squeaked out that was a little closer to a whine, and perhaps it was a bit odd, but Atlas had a feeling Jack's life on the surface made him a little softer than anyone living in Rapture.
Suddenly, Jack swore and hissed - the radio was moved quickly, and dropped against whatever Jack was working against.
"Shit! I hit a wire!"
Atlas resisted - ah fuck it, Jack couldn't see - Atlas did not resist rolling his eyes. Soft. He kept it out of his voice, though.
"Right, probably why you were messing around in there in the first place."
"What?"
"... To get it to transmit better. You just told me a second ago."
"Oh! Right, yeah, to transm- right. Fooled with, uh, some wires."
"Right. Now, did any of those wires wrap around your fingers?"
"Not the one that zapped me."
Atlas realized he'd have to take it a little slower with him.
"Of course not, but any that weren't the live one?"
"Umm... Maybe..."
"Could you curl your fingers around it, maybe?"
"Uh I can't."
"You can't? Something wrong with your fingers, lad?"
"Y-yeah, they're uh. Kind of stiff. Not as flexible as they are normally."
"You been stuck in the radio that long, boyo?"
"Yyyeah..."
Atlas sighed and rubbed at his forehead.
"All right. Listen--"
There was a faint spike of noise over the radio, and the rattle of it as Jack suddenly moved.
"Atlas," he whispered, "I think someone's here with me."
"Well what are you waiting for," Atlas replied sternly, "go get them."
"... But I'm stuck."
"Aye, but you've got a hand free, don't you? Plasmids, if that's not the hand you've got stuck, and if it is you still have the revolver. You'll figure something out."
Jack made a noise that was almost a whine, and the voice of whoever else was out there got closer. The kid obviously was going to need some encouragement:
"Don't tell me you've gone soft on me, boyo?"
"Never," Jack said not-quite-under his breath, in a voice that was strangely low - and then, before Atlas could figure out what that was, Jack squeaked.
"I mean - ha - no, I'm going to do it, I'm just a li--"
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"
Ah, and there's Jack's company. Atlas wasn't overly-concerned though - worst case scenario, the splicer would kill Jack and send him back through the vita chamber. Maybe doing that would even free his hand, and that would be a bright side, wouldn't it?
He listened to the fight- Jack yelped and turned around (the radio dragged against tile by the sound of it) and threw a fistful of lighting - so it wasn't his left hand that was stuck, after all. But then, Jack drew a gun, as Atlas had suggested, but it was the shotgun, as he had not suggested - Jack pumped it and fired twice, and the splicer went quiet.
Except... Atlas frowned.
"Jack?
"I got him!"
"Good for you, lad. Impressive - never heard someone fire a shotgun with one hand before."
"What are yyyo--- oooh. Uh. Uhhhh hmmmm..."
Jack trailed off, and Atlas didn't offer him any outs.
"Do you have something stuck in the radio?"
"Y-yes uh- but I - I..." he took a breath, "I'm going to turn off the radio now."
"All right, boyo. Just turn it back on when you're finished, would you kindly?"
Jack mumbled and shut the radio off with a click. Atlas closed his eyes, shook his head, and imagined a world where his investments and sacrifices were worth every cent.
